According to this CNet article, Nintendo crushed the competetion in 2008. Not that suprising. What is suprising to me though was how many Nintendo DS units were sold! I suspect Nintendo will win again next year but it should be closer.

  2. Nintendo DS - 9,951,500
  3. Xbox 360 - 4,735,200
  4. PlayStation Portable - 3,829,300
  5. PlayStation 3 - 3,685,000
  6. PlayStation 2 - 2,106,100*

Lifetime U.S. hardware sales, as of December 2008:

I'm not too surprised with

I'm not too surprised with Nintendo's success, but I keep hearing that in 2-3 years, games will actually be fun for the system, so alone I wait for those to come. As far as the DS, those suckers are like crack to the soccer moms because it's an instant babysitter, just add batteries, but really, the way they advertise those things with the celebs, including Carrie Underwood, my wife even wants one:)
