I saw that no one has posted in this section of the forum for over 3 years, so needless to say i decided to fill the void (even though no one besides me has posted on this site in the last week).

I've been listening to my ipod a lot at work lately since i work second shift and get bored easily "slash" hate what other people listen to. The one band i cant seem to get enough of is the New Pornographers. Their sound is downright incredible. They have (at least) 2 lead singers, and the balance between their vocals is amazing. It says something about a band that either singer can do a whole song and be good at it, whereas most bands only dare to have one set of vocals and if there are two you hear both of them in every song. Not so with yon Pornographers. The male lead is amazing, as is the female lead. In the songs where they do sing together they compliment each other almost perfectly. Their albums also seem to have a good mix of fast upbeat, or as i call it, "pump up" music as well as slower mellower tracks. Basically this group has something for everyone.

The only complaint i can think of is that their lyrics are hard to understand, meaning both that i cant make out most of the words they're singing and that when i do know what they're singing i have no clue what it means. Maybe the problem on both counts is that i'm too lazy to dig into it and really try to understand it, but to that i say, "Meh." The other complaint is that their albums tend to get a little old after listening to them every night for like a month straight. Oh wait, thats not a complaint, thats amazing. i usually burn myself out on music i like much faster than that.
