saw this movie this weekend. overall plot: theres a town in Alaska where its night, for 30 days. So the sun sets and vampires attack, because its like party time for them. And thats it, mainly we follow the adventures of the survivors as they try to hide out and survive until daylight.
Pretty much, the movie wasn't that great. The action and fighting was ok. The gore was pretty good. The acting and makeup was BAAAAD. the main character was this asshole cop, who quickly changed into a wuss cop once the vamps showed up. He was separated from his wife in the begining of the movie, and their relationship was so bad that she came into town and wasnt even going to talk to him. The cop also had a brother that he pretty much ignored. Then as the movie goes on the cop starts giving other people advice on their families like he's such a great family man. At the end of the movie the cop and his wife are back in love, because there's nothing more romantic than a vampire siege.
Then there's the costumes for the vampires. A couple of them look like normal people, just with pointy teeth when they smile. Then theres a couple seriously ugly women vampires, some seriously gay looking guy vampires, and one that i swear looks like just like William Hung of American Idol infamy.
Overall i would suggest giving this movie a miss. It really wasn't worth it.
